Subscription Pricing & Terms
Klima is free to download. After calculating your personal carbon footprint, you can offset your emissions by funding on-the-ground climate projects with a monthly offset plan. The price of your offset plan is personalized and based on your footprint calculation. If you decide to offset, payment for the total monthly fee will be charged through the payment method you selected at the time you confirm your purchase. Once purchased, refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the term. Offset plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the monthly period. There is no increase in price when renewing. You can manage your plan and disable the automatic renewal at any time via the app settings. Big news: For the past few months, we've been hard at work creating a new holistic version of the Klima app. Today, it’s finally ready for you to enjoy! Here’s a peek at the most important changes:
* New Design
We’ve completely redesigned the three main tabs of the app with the goal of turning Klima into a holistic climate action app. You can now monitor how much CO2e you’ve neutralized in the Offset tab, learn how to reduce your carbon footprint in the Reduce tab, and watch your collective impact grow in the Multiply tab. You’ll also see that each tab now comes with its own cover, which displays key information about your progress. To show details, simply swipe up.
* Reduction Assistant
In the Reduce tab, you can now easily update your carbon footprint with recent lifestyle changes. Plus, you’ll find some new features designed to help you shrink emissions, including personalized reduction goals.
* Climate Class Video Series
We’re particularly excited about this one. The Reduce tab will now feature our first video series, where we share tips and tricks to manage different parts of your CO2 footprint. Our goal is to equip you with science-based climate knowledge, so you can take green living into your own hands.
* CO2 Certificate
In the Offset tab, you’ll see a new CO2 certificate. This replaces our previous CO2 counter and can be saved on your cellphone. It’s a stepping stone on the way to one-time offsets, which will allow you to offset a flight or train ride. In the new payment log, you’ll also find an overview of your previous payments, including receipts.

Hallo, welcome, willkommen! With this release, we’re adding our own native language to our app. That’s right, you can now use Klima in German!
Deutsch-speaking app users, you don’t have to do anything to make the switch: If your device is set to German, Klima will be, too. Don’t speak German? Don’t worry — Klima will remain in English for all other devices, and we’ll be adding more languages in the future.

Big news: We've rolled out the first big iteration of our custom carbon calculator! With this version, we added 38 new questions (based on your requests), updated to the latest data model available, and made it easier for you to fine-tune your carbon footprint in greater detail.
For calculating national baseline emissions, we’re switching from a territorial — or “production-based” approach — to a “consumption-based” one. While this might change your footprint result, it also means your carbon footprint will be even more accurate than before.
Lastly — say hello to one of our most-requested features: Flexible Offsets! For the first time, you can wipe out more than your personal carbon footprint, going above and beyond for the climate.
